IOM Racing 6th January 2023

Eight IOM skippers turned out to sail this morning. After a little over half-an-hour of racing in light winds around two shortened courses, the breeze made an effective and timely appearance across the lake for course 'C' to take shape:-

Start OQ/2 - 4 - OB - Zero - 8 - OQ - Z - Fin' 8/Y.

A port hand bias on the start line meant a fairly fast fleet fetch over to #4 and close racing from there on. Upwind and down offered leg-stretches of opportunity right to the finish line beyond the jetty. The results say it all. Ian gets a favourable mention in this despatch for a successful rescue of #16 at anchor on a race mark.

The Fleet's Top Three Today are:- 1st Place - MC #169. 2nd - CW #06, 3rd - RH #03.
